Living Room Inspiration

Ok for our new living room Im really wanting a new sofa and loveset.  The boyfriends set is going in his "man cave" and mine are just worn out....oh and fire engine red!!

There is nothing wrong with the color of them but it doesn't go with my inspiration and the new paint color of the living room (Revere Pewter)

Busy Busy Bee

WHEW!!! Ill tell ya between working on the house and preparing for finals I havent even had time to just sit down and blog or do laundry....in a while!!!!  I did in fact snap a few photos of the progress on the house for yall. 

This is our ALMOST completed master bath!!!  I love the shower curtain I got from Bed Bath & Beyond.  The only thing that is left for us to do in here is pick out a vanity light and maybe do something with the vanity, like a new counter top and faucet. 

Im thinking of something similar to this for the new faucet...what do y'all think??

This is the color scheme for the upstairs.(please excuse my horrible nails...with all the painting we've been doing I just couldnt bring myself to paint them)

TGIF!!!!!

I dont know about y'all but Im sure glad its friday...even though I dont really get a break from the house or class!  The boyfriend's parents came up to see the house and help out some today, it was nice seeing them.  Our bedroom is almost done now, we just need to paint the white trim and clean up any mistakes from the paint.  I forgot to take a pic of the color I picked for our room but it is called Kendall Charcoal by Benjamin Moore.  Its dark but I was inspired by another blogger here is her link http://thevelvetdoorblog.blogspot.com/.  Kristel's master bedroom is done impeccably in this color, and she also has my same Pottery Barn comforter! Hopefully Ill be able to pull it off just like she did.  This is a pic of Kristel's master bedroom and my inspiration for mine!!!

Wallpaper and more wallpaper!!!!!

Good news I finally got the wallpaper down in our bedroom!!  The boyfriend finished most of the second coat of paint in the dining, living, and hallway as well.  Once I finished removing the wallpaper I started working on painting the trim like around the windows and doors.  After dinner my parents came over and ripped down the wallpaper in the guest bath...which was sooo dang nice of them to help out!  We still have a bunch to check off our to-do list, but its getting there!!

Our bedroom is almost ready to paint!!!  No more ugly wallpaper!!

Let the updating begin!!!!

The boyfriend and I started the updating on Friday wahoo!!!!!  I seriously spend 7 hours yes 7, ripping off wallpaper!! ugh Im going to have nightmares of this ugly 80s wallpaper until its all gone!  The boyfriend got the dining, living, and hallway first coat of paint done, but its still got a long way.  Another headache that occurred is the paint color ended up being lighter than we thought, which I can work with but it really makes me mad!!!!!!!!!  I tried to explain to him we need to get samples of it to see if we liked it on our walls but NOOO he wanted to get it done.  Well thats what you get for rushing my design decisions lol. 

Ok gotta get back to ripping down wallpaper!  Ill keep y'all updated.

Going back to my true passion~

Im sure we have all heard of Pinterest by now, well a couple of days ago I came across the cutest blog on there.  The blog is called Liz Marie Blog, it is the best blog I have seen in a while!!  Its all about interior design and DIY projects.  Liz Marie is the blogger and in interior design school, she is super talented! Well after stalking all of her blog posts I really started missing all of my interior design classes and blogging.  So now I have decided to try and blog more about the stuff I know....INTERIOR DESIGN!!!!

        Now I have some even more exciting news!!! The boyfriend and I got a house!!! I wouldn't call it a fixer upper but it needs some refreshing.  I'm hoping all y'all will enjoy going on the journey of sprucing up the place with us!! Ill be posting more about the house soon once we get in there and start ripping down wall paper and what not!!
