Master Bath decor

Mom and I went to target (My favorite Place!!) yesterday to pick up a few things we needed.  The boyfriend and I need a rug in our master bathroom so I picked one up as well.  I had a hard choice between these two...

But I chose the chevron one to add a little color in the bathroom.  What do you guys think?!

Moving day countdown!!!

Well folks its official the moving trucks are coming on Tuesday!!!!!  Ive been packing my car full of my clothes and stuff at least everyday to make it easier.  Ive almost got my whole closet done except for boots and such.  Right now Im sitting in my office/closet writing to you guys.  Once my desk and all of our furniture gets here it going to feel more and more like a home.  I have to say I am a little sad about leaving my apartment but only because I had been there for so long.  On to bigger and better things I always say!!!
Oh I almost forgot to show you guys they tore down the wall in the kitchen and it already looks SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!  They also pulled up the nasty vinyl tile that was down too. Here is a pic I snapped of the kitchen.

Its a little bit of a construction zone but we are getting there!!!!

Kitchen Renovation!!!!

Its been a few days since I have blogged sorry about that!  I have been meeting with contractors and kitchen designers lately so the boyfriend and I can get that finished soon.  We met with them today to finalize the plans of the renovation.  Hopefully by the end of the week the we will have the wall knocked down!!!! I met with our Kitchen designer to pick out the color and style of cabinets we want for the new kitchen island(super excited about it)!  Im going with black distressed cabinets for the island.  We still need to meet with the granite guy to pick out the color we want to go with, but hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will get a good chunk of it done.

Im going to be moving in next week hopefully, since summer school starts on the 30th it will be nice to be all moved in before.

Finals... What my life has been about the past few days!

Tomorrow I have two finals to take.  One I have to actually be on campus and the other I just have to email my professor.  I'm honestly just ready to have them over with! My last final is on Tuesday so I'm almost done wahoo!!! When I've been taking study breaks of course I've been researching stuff for the house.  I need to pick out our new light fixtures soon, I've found one for the dining room that would fit really well with the design Im going for.  Its from Lowes and I think its AMAZING!!

There are so many options for the kitchen that I cant decide on one yet.  I think Ill have to wait till we get more of the kitchen started anyway to get a feel for the space. 

I was thinking something similar to this in our master bath...what do y'all think?

Study Break--little kitchen inspiration

As I stare at the mountains of note cards I need to memorize I decided its study break time!!  Yesterday we had a good family friend who is also a contractor come by the house to look at our kitchen.  He had a lot of good ideas for us, one entails us knocking down a wall into the kitchen so we can add more counter space with an island!  You don't understand how excited I would be to get that.  Now next week we are having a kitchen designer come by to help us decide on the best way to utilize the space in the kitchen.  I'm just ready to have it all done so I can start cooking in it.   At first we were going to paint the kitchen cabinets black, but now due to time and money I think we are just gonna clean them up and get new hardware for them.
 So our kitchen to do list consist of: new door pulls, new counter tops,back splash, new appliances, lighting, flooring, and paint.
Whew when I write it down it kinda gives me a slight heart attack.  I have many kitchen inspiration pics I'm gonna leave for y'all to take a gander at!

Did I find the one....(living room furniture)

As y'all know I have been trying to find new living room furniture for our new house.  In a perfect world I would get the Pottery Barn slipcover sofas.....but with that hefty price tag it's not gonna work!  Well I went to  http://www.roomstogo.com/product/Living-Rooms/Cindy-Crawford-Home-Beachside-White-7-Pc-Livingroom/1556721P. And found a couch and love set that would work great!!!(minus the pillows). You know what's even better the boyfriend likes them too!!!! I really like that they are slipcovered so that means easy to clean!!!

Ohh and I forgot to mention we have a contractor coming tomorrow to take a look at the kitchen wahoo!!!!!! Ill have to take some pictures of this place...better yet ill do a whole blog post on it for y'all. 

Well back to studying for finals!!

Living Room Inspiration

Ok for our new living room Im really wanting a new sofa and loveset.  The boyfriends set is going in his "man cave" and mine are just worn out....oh and fire engine red!!

There is nothing wrong with the color of them but it doesn't go with my inspiration and the new paint color of the living room (Revere Pewter)
